The Electric Power and Renewable Energy Conference has been a premier forum for presenting recent advances in power systems, power electronics & drives and control applications in power system areas. Now, 2nd Electric Power and Renewable Energy Conference (EPREC-2021) is being organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, India during May 28-30, 2021. The conference will feature various expert talks, paper presentations, and discussions on state of art technologies in power system and related areas.
It is planned to publish the peer reviewed, accepted, and presented papers of this international conference (EPREC-2021) as proceedings with Springer in their prestigious “Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering” series (https://www.springer.com/series/7818)

Call for papers
The conference provides a platform for the authors to get recognition for their research findings and, innovations. The scope of the conference is multidisciplinary and focuses on the emerging areas in the field of Modern Power System, Advancements in Power Electronics & Drives, and Control Applications in Modern Power System. The accepted papers, presented by the duly registered authors in EPREC-2021, shall be submitted to SPRINGER for publication in Scopus-indexed Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering (LNEE). Only full papers (more than or equal to 5 pages) will be considered and abstracts/extended abstracts and short papers will not be considered for publication. The plagiarism policy** of SPRINGER-LNEE is to be followed by prospective authors. Prospective authors are invited to submit original and unpublished papers using Easychair at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=eprec2021 in the following areas:

**Springer follows stringent policies for plagiarism. Papers having similarities beyond a specified limit of 10% will be straightaway rejected and therefore, it should be below 10% for camera-ready papers. The authors also need to obtain permission from the copyright holder for third-party content use, if any.
The minimum page length should be 5 (please use Springer-LNEE format) and as of now, there is no maximum limit proposed by the organizing committee. However, the preferred page length is between 5 to 20. Additional pages can also be allowed depending upon the reviewers' comments.

About the Institute
The National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur (NIT Jamshedpur), is an Institute of National Importance located at Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India. Established as a Regional Institute of Technology in 1960, it was upgraded to National Institute of Technology (NIT) on 27 December 2002 with the status of Deemed University. It is one of the 31 NITs in India, and as such is directly under the control of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). It is the third in the chain of eight NITs established as a part of the Second Five Year Plan (1956–61) by the Government of India. The Institute has twelve departments including engineering, science and humanities. The institute offers a 4-year Bachelor of Technology degree in the various streams. The institute also offers Master and Ph.D degrees in various streams. The institute is bound to the quest for academic excellence and good governance, growth of institute, admired and respected institute for students, employees and industry, innovative leader.
About the Department
The Department of Electrical Engineering was started in 1960. The Department has been consistently producing quality Engineers since its inception and is also involved in research and development activities. The alumni of the department are well placed in both public and private sectors. In addition to the UG programme the department runs PG programme in Power Systems and Power Electronics and Drives and Ph.D. program in different areas of specialization.
